Last night’s City Council meeting was one for the record books – 3+ hours long and two votes that defied the voice of the citizens, City Council’s own processes and the rule of the Georgetown Unified Development Code (UDC).

Councilwoman Eby and Councilwoman Jonrowe demonstrated professionalism, investigative diligence, adherence to the rule of the UDC and the will of their constituents.

Conversely, Councilmen Pitts and Councilman Gonzales were emotional, reactive and aggressive.

Georgetown has awaken, asking questions and wanting action. . .

There are more questions than answers and GNA will continue to pursue answers.  Toward that end, GNA is launching the Good Government Watch Project – a team focused on research and providing substantiated information on the network of relationships and influence in Georgetown.  The goal is transparency.  Stay tuned – more information to come!
