Hey, Georgetown!
Spring has sprung! The poppies are in full bloom! Baseball is back!
And…it’s time for city elections again!
This year, there are three races in play:
- Mayor, where incumbent Dale Ross is being challenged by Dr. Sherwin Kahn.
- City Council District 2, where new challengers Valerie Nicholson and David Sray for competing for Keith Brainard’s open seat.
- City Council District 6, where incumbent Rachel Jonrowe is being challenged by Lawrence Romero.
As part of our mission to ensure that Georgetown citizens are well-informed and that their voices are heard, The Georgetown Neighborhood Alliance is teaming up with Southwestern University to host the 2017 City Elections Candidates Forum.
Join us on Tuesday, April 18th starting at 6:00 pm to meet the candidates, to hear their visions for Georgetown and to get your questions answered.
What: 2017 City Elections Candidate Forum
Where: Red and Charlene McCombs Campus Center at Southwestern University
When: District 2 and District 6 Forums begin at 6:00 pm
Mayoral Forum begins at 7:00 pm
