Please Contact Your Georgetown City Council Member About the Austin Avenue Bridges ProjectÂ
On June 27th, the Georgetown City Council will hold a workshop on the Austin Avenue bridges. This project will have a significant impact on our historic downtown and its businesses.
Please Take Action!
Please contact your Georgetown City Council Member and tell them that you want to protect our historic downtown and save millions of taxpayer dollars.
Option 6A:
- Meets all safety requirements
- Strong – provides 68,000-pound load rating per TxDOT
- Least expensive (at least $5 million less than the other options)
- Least disruptive to historic downtown Georgetown (massive demolition/reconstruction NOT required)
- Provides walk/bike bridge that links downtown to San Gabriel trail and Rivery Park
Tell you Council Member that you support Option 6A…and they should, too!
